Gymkhana Ground of Hyderabad Cricket Association
is one of the oldest cricket rounds in the country
to host first class matches.
The First recorded First Class cricket was played
on this ground in the 1930/31 season between Hyderabad
v Maharaj Kumar of Vizianagram's XI in Moin-ud-Dowla
Gold Cup on on 11th, 12th, 13th January 1931.
It was on this ground that poeple of Hyderabad witnessed
some of the then legends of cricket like the Sir Jack
Hobbs and Bert Sutcliff.
