SOUTH AFRICA IN INDIA - HYDERABAD 2005 1ST ODI

South Africa is in Hyderabad to play the first of the five-match one day international series with India on Wednesday the 16th of November 2005.

Graeme Smith's team is unbeaten for the last 19 ODIs (including 2 matches with no result and a tie) played and are just 3 matches short of bearing the Australian's record of 21 matches created in 2003.

The Proteas are currently rated at number 2 behind Australia replacing Sri Lanka which slipped from number 2 position after their recently concluded disastrous series (6-1 loss) against India.

It will really be a thrilling match to watch a successful team like South Africa against the supercharged Indians fresh from their 6-1 victory over Sri Lanka.

Hyderabad is currently enjoying a cool and sunny weather with dew and slight mist in the morning that can aid the swing bowlers.

This is the first big official One Day International at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium ( Recently renamed Visaka International Cricket Stadium) with a current capacity to host 27000 spectators and is sold out to capacity.
